Santa Marinha holiday accommodation are located a couple of minutes walk from the waterfront, nestled in a narrow street in the Alfama district, closer to S. Jorge Castle.

Traditionally a fishing community, Alfama still retains most of its quaint 18th century architecture; terracotta rooftops, little cobbled streets, with shops and flower-filled balconies.

A stroll uphill takes you to the Castelo de São Jorge fortress, with fantastic city views, or visit the market in Campo de Santa Clara. This area has frequent public transports.

  This apartment in Alfama is a perfect place to base yourself for a visit to Lisbon. Alfama is a rich and colorful area where you can surround yourself with locals and get a very special glimpse of this part of the city, with its tiled and coloured buildings, winding cobblestone streets and rattling trams. The apartment is just 2 minutes walk from a stop on the famous number 28 tram line or less than 15 minutes walk to downtown Lisbon. Itis modern, clean and has everything you should need. Win.

  Simply fantastic !! The appartment is better than what you see in the pictures. There is everything you need to make your stay perfect. The location is excellent, only 4 minutes walk from the metro ( Martim Moniz station ) and many important places to go you don´t even have to take public transportation. The neighbourhood is very pintoresque and safe. WiFi works prefectly, and Ana is a wonderful host. Thank you Ana !!!

  nice compact little apartment, right in the heart of Alfama, it was perfect for our short stay. taxi did rip us off on the way there, but if you get the Aerobus (line 91) it's not a long walk from the Praca do Comerico to this place (having GPS on my phone helped though).

  What is nice about Alfama that there is much less tourists than in e.g. Barrio Alto and it is much more quite at night. The apartment is at the top of the neighborhood, just underneath the castle. It was very clean and tidy when we arrived, all IKEA furnished and looks very new. It is on the ground floor with a narrow couple stone street outside the door with steady stream of cars. The apartment is somewhat humid. I found the bed duvet very impressive and wished I had one so thick at home. Very close is the lower part of Alfama with pedestrian only pathways between the houses, looks and feels very ancient. Also short way is the castle with amazing views over the city. On the way down to the center there is a famous viewpoint over the lower part of Alfama and the sea. It seems to be the center of tourists in the neighborhood. I warn against the café in the corner of the square, it is a tourist trap and two cups of coffee and two toasts with ham and cheese costed 20 euros there.
